I would like to apply for a heavy equipment operator position. I have 9 years experience working in the heavy construction industry and just over a year in Alberta oil patch.

I am a reliable, safety oriented, hardworking individual and am always punctual

. I’m available to work long hours as required. I’m a responsible individual who avoids drugs and alcohol and can pass a drug test at any time. I have a clean criminal record which can be proven upon request. I own a reliable vehicle to get to work on a daily basis. I am quick to learn and can adapt easily to new situations. I’m also a hands on learner who is mechanically inclined and willing to do what’s necessary to keep the equipment in good operating condition.

I’ve obtained a Class 1 license with S endorsement 9 years ago. I consider myself a skilled driver. I have some experience operating a skid steer/loader pushing snow or dirt. I also have lots of experience in articulated rock trucks. Ultimately I am looking to transition my career towards more of a heavy equipment operator as opposed to a driver.
