Infracon was contracted by Graham Design Builders LP to complete the civil works on the Cariboo Memorial Hospital Expansion Project in Williams Lake BC. The scope of work included demolition of existing infrastructure, installation of new storm, sewer, water, electrical and mechanical utilities, MSE and gravity lock block walls, construction of 4 new parking lots, bulk and detail excavation for the new hospital, and backfill support around footings/walls. The Hospital site was a challenging project due to the lack of working area and constructability constraints related to keeping the existing hospital function during construction. Infracon also worked closely with Sugarcane to perform archeology excavation support where multiple artifacts were found.
