PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Infracon Construction Inc. (Infracon) was contracted by the Village of Port Clements to complete multiple scopes to upgrade their current wastewater treatment facilities. Earthworks were performed to prep the site including: clearing and grubbing, stripping topsoil, excavation and screening of native material for replacement into the final grading plan and importing aggregate. Multiple lagoons were constructed including an aerator cell and settling cell. These cells are connected via conveyance pipes installed at various depths. Lastly, various electrical components were installed to ensure the lagoons can be properly monitored including an electrical kiosk, rain gauge, flow meters, and power to all equipment. This project was challenging due to the remote location (barge only for heavy equipment), and the constant damp weather experienced in 2024. Infracon will remobilize in 2025 to complete the remaining works.
