PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Infracon was contracted by the City of Grand Forks to restore residential areas affected by destructive flooding and construct a habitat environment. The scope of work included preparation of the proposed habitat area including removal of existing roadways, abandoned utilities, foundations and dikes surrounding the area. With cut to fill excavation and grading, Infracon created the inlet / outlet channels within the instream habitat area, followed by the construction and installation of Large Woody Debris (LWD) structures for habitat re-establishment and riparian planting surrounding. Infracon was able to achieve the aggressive schedule by mobilizing a large fleet of equipment and a crew of 31 people at its peak. Throughout the project, Infracon collaborated closely with the city, engineers, and environmental consultants to mitigate numerous environmental risk factors. Infracon has been contracted to return in 2024 for additional flood mitigation work scopes.
