Rick McKenna
I am feeling that my hometown is pulling me back to aid in the rebuilding of the Coquihalla.
I help build the Coquihalla the first time it was constructed, and now seeing all the recent devastation and work required, I would like to be an important part of rebuilding it a second time.
As part of me planning on semi retirement, I relocated from Merritt to Alberta, although my heart has never left Merritt. I consider it my hometown. I also let my Class 1 go to concentrate on my hobbies of fixing and restoring old equipment and tractors.
I have remained active working in the local area with being very involved in the spraying of fields locally each year. I have run the large sprayers and kept them in mechanically sound shape.
I am a confident and capable operator and would like to be considered to fill a position in an excavator to participate in the emergent need to rebuild the Coquihalla and to then spend my retirement back in BC, which I love.
