Duties: Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs for all WB equipment (except snow cats) – Performing Oil changes, greasing, testing etc. As well as all repairs for a wide range of equipment, Trucks, buses, Cranes, excavators, skid steer loaders etc. Also responsible for performing annual inspections in accordance with provincial Commercial Vehicle Safety standards (CVIP)

Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure – Commercial Transport Enforcement officer/Area Vehicle Inspector

Duties: Responsible for performing audits on designated inspection facilities to ensure inspections are being done in accordance with the legislation and/or policies that govern the facilities. Also responsible for inspecting vehicles and all school buses as well as conduct patrols to ensure commercial vehicle traffic is operating safely on our roadways.

Duties: Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of an Off-Grid Salmon spawning Facility at Pinkut Creek on Lake Babine. Maintaining various pieces of mechanical equipment including standby generators, heavy construction equipment and vehicles, various pieces of small engine equipment, Water management equipment, Several Buildings and all general property maintenance.

Skills: Repairing and maintaining various pieces of mechanical equipment. Equipment operation for the Summer and winter maintenance of 30 km of public roads including snow removal. Operating different pieces of equipment and hand tools for the landscaping and repairs of the site buildings. Understanding water flow for the system and managing water levels on site and supply from creek.

Duties: Responsible for the Management of the store inventory at several BC Hydro generation facilities, using passport and various other software applications. Responsible for the entire procurement process for any material request for non-stock items.

Duties: Accountable for maintenance and repair of BC Hydro vehicles. Responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repairing breakdowns on heavy trucks, bucket trucks, digger derrick trucks, cranes trucks, forklifts, and various other equipment.
Skills: Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills, performing various equipment standards checks, and focusing on all safety aspects of the vehicle use and operation. Maintaining shop inventory of spare parts/supplies and building relationships with external vendors. Planning, scheduling and prioritizing repairs while keeping clients informed of all vehicle concerns.
