My name is Chase Bronson and I am seeking employment in the Merritt area. I am applying for the posted position of “Labourer/Operator”. In 2017, I completed the Millwright/Machinist Foundation Program at Thompson Rivers University. This program helped me gain a stronger understanding of industry tools and equipment, mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. In 2018 through 2019 I worked at a large Oil sands site in Northern Alberta. Working on this site provided me experience with Large Diameter Pipe, Heavy Equipment, working as part of a team, and most importantly safety. While working under Imperial Oils and AECOMs strong safety culture, I was able to become familiar with performing job hazard analysis through JHAs, FLHAs, and safe work permits. Most recently I have been employed by a excavating and site prep contractor out of Armstrong B.C. My time here has given me more experience operating and working alongside heavy equipment. Being a part of these small scale earthworks and civil projects has given me the skill set to contribute to larger scale jobs.
