Due to heavy torrential rainfall in November of 2021 crippling the transportation corridors from the interior of British Columbia to the Lower Mainland, Infracon, along with Lower Nicola Site Services (LNSS) — a partnership between Infracon and the Lower Nicola Indian Band Corp. — were contracted to protect infrastructure and replace roads in the washed-out areas extending along the Coquihalla Hwy, Highway 1, Highway 8 and into the city of Merritt, B.C. Infracon and LNSS mobilized within hours of the natural disaster, rerouting equipment and manpower from the Trans Mountain Expansion Project, which was temporarily shut down due to safety and environmental concerns.
