PROJECT Snapshot

Infracon was contracted by the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako to install a comprehensive new water system for the majority of the community of Fort Fraser, B.C. During the project, smoky conditions from nearby forest fires added to the challenging conditions; however, Infracon still met the client’s schedule.

Key Highlights

Work included decommissioning the old AC Main. The project was challenging due to the high water table and multiple unknown utilities, as the existing system was over 50-years-old.  Infracon completed the project utilizing its fleet of GPS equipment, including excavators from JD 50 – JD 350 and support equipment, such as skid steers, water truck and compaction equipment.

  • Installation of 4,000 Lm of 150 mm and 200 mm water main.
  • Installation and tie in of 150 water services.
  • 4,000 m2 of road restoration.
  • Installation of 20 fire hydrants.

WESTPRO INFRASTRUCTURE

“Infracon successfully completed a project for Westpro Infrastructure in Fort McMurray, Alberta in the summer 2013. I found their management team to be committed to the completion of a top quality project. Infracon personnel were knowledgeable, hard-working and professional in all aspects of their work. Infracon simply performed a miracle – mobilized in one week notice and was able to complete earth and civil works on time in spite of the record-breaking wettest summer in 30 years.”
