PROJECT Snapshot

Lower Nicola Site Services (LNSS), a partnership between Infracon Solutions and the Lower Nicola Indian Band Corporation, was contracted by Worley Cord LP to perform a three-phased civil earthworks expansion as part of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project. LNSS utilized a local and Indigenous labour force for most of the work. The three-phased project incorporated over 14,066 Indigenous man-hours.

Key Highlights

As part of the TMEP, LNSS performed civil earthwork expansion, including integrating below-grade installations with existing infrastructure tie-in to maintain the existing pump station operating abilities. LNSS also supplied and installed the storm water drainage system, constructed the retention pond, and supplied and placed aggregates to final grade, while excavating and backfilling 30 inches of relief piping networks. It completed the project on-time, while maintaining safety and quality to the highest standards, despite the fast-paced, simultaneous operations setting.

  • 13,915 tonnes of imported local aggregate
  • 4,205 m3 detailed trench and foundation excavation
  • Supply of survey and compaction quality control

WESTPRO INFRASTRUCTURE

“Infracon successfully completed a project for Westpro Infrastructure in Fort McMurray, Alberta in the summer 2013. I found their management team to be committed to the completion of a top quality project. Infracon personnel were knowledgeable, hard-working and professional in all aspects of their work. Infracon simply performed a miracle – mobilized in one week notice and was able to complete earth and civil works on time in spite of the record-breaking wettest summer in 30 years.”
